Ticket Sale Allotments

The anticipated population for this year’s event is 2,300. The ticket allocation is as follows:

  • General Public: 800 tickets

  • Subsidized: 100 tickets, aiming to make the event accessible for low-income

  • Patron: 40 tickets. These tickets help offset the reduced costs for subsidized tickets

  • Radical Inclusion: 40 tickets to make access easier for all communities

  • DGS: 900 tickets, catering to camps and artists, and leads that make the event happen

  • Volunteer Tickets: 400 Tickets are saved for people who contributed a prior year to pay it forward. It takes 16 weighted hours to earn a free ticket for the next year

Parking Permits

  • Drop-off gear and park: $5.

We’re running out of space, so will require parking permits for all vehicles. You will be allowed to drop off your equipment near your camp and then must move the vehicle to the outer field to be stationary for the duration of the event. RVs have a different pass. There’s no parking anywhere else near, so we encourage you to carpool!

Vehicle Pass Availability

In SOAK*2023 we had about 1000 vehicles (For 2100 people) in the parking lot. We’re sticking with that number for SOAK*2024

RV tickets were a hot item last year. RVs also take up a lot of room. Passes will continue to be scarce so we can focus on allowing more people and theme camps. We expect to have something like 220 total across all categories (Patron, Leads, DGS, and general.)

Understanding when tickets are sold out

  • Soft Sellout: When all tickets are in carts or in the checkout process. There is a 15-minute window to complete the purchase.

  • Hard Sellout: When all tickets are sold and paid for.

In 2023, the main sale reached soft sellout in 1 second and hard sellout in 40 minutes. Similar trends are expected for 2024.

FAQs:

Q: Can I participate in both the DGS and main ticket sales?
A: Generally, DGS participants are invited to early sales based on what they're bringing to SOAK. If you’re part of this, you may not need to participate in the main sale. However there is nothing prohibiting you from purchasing a ticket in the main sale and the DGS sale.

Q: What if I miss the DGS application deadline?
A: If you miss the DGS deadline, your next chance would be the main ticket sale or the OMG tickets.

Q: Are volunteer tickets different from DGS tickets?
A: Yes, volunteer tickets are specifically for those who contributed their time and effort to a previous SOAK, while DGS tickets are allocated based on planned contributions or involvement this year.

Q: Can I purchase a subsidized ticket and a ticket in the main sale or DGS sale?
A: No. Any individual who purchases a subsidized ticket and a full price ticket will have their subsidized ticket refunded and canceled.

Q: How many tickets can I purchase at 1 time in the main sale or OMG sale?
A: You can purchase 2 tickets and 1 parking permit or RV pass per transaction, based on availability.
