Camping Vehicle (CV) Policy

Camping Vehicles

If you wish to camp with your RV, camper trailer, bus conversion, or truck-mounted camper/popup tent, you must purchase a Camping Vehicle (CV) Pass. There are (2) two types of CV passes, and you must use the appropriate one for your vehicle.

DGS Placed CV: Camping Vehicle passes that allow CVs within the boundaries of a placed theme camp.
General CV: Camping Vehicle passes that allow parking in designated areas within the event, but outside of placed theme camps.

Camping in an unmodified passenger vehicle is not allowed. 

Anyone arriving with a camping vehicle without a valid Camping Vehicle Pass will be turned away at the Gate.

Purchasing a CV Pass

CVs Within a Theme Camp (DGS CV)

Camping vehicles placed within the boundaries of a theme camp must still purchase a CV pass. These passes are purchased using specific codes supplied to theme camps by Placement when a theme camp is invited to SOAK.

CVs Outside of a Theme Camp (General CV)

Camping vehicles not associated with a theme camp must park in a designated CV area. CV areas include:

• Meadow

• Other areas as determined by SOAK departments

Re-sales and Transfers

General CV (purchased in the Main Sale): Transferable to anyone.

DGS Placed CV passes: Theme camp placement is required (no open camping). These passes are transferable to other theme camps that have space. If you are selling a pass labeled “DGS Placed Camping Vehicle 2026,” confirm that the buyer has a theme camp that can place the vehicle, as it will not be allowed in open camping or the Meadow.

FAQs

Can I camp in my car if the seats have been permanently removed?
No. Car camping is not allowed at SOAK. Your vehicle must meet the State of Oregon definition of a Camping Vehicle.

I am a volunteer. Do I get a free or included Camping Vehicle pass?
No. You must purchase one in the Main Sale or through the Ticket Exchange.

I have a small teardrop trailer. Can I camp in the event core instead of the Meadow?
Possibly. A limited area inside the event core will be available on a first-come, first-parked basis until full. We strongly recommend arriving early to increase your chances. You will still need a parking pass for your tow vehicle and a CV pass for the camper. 

If I have a tow vehicle for my CV, where do I park it?
In the parking lot, with a purchased parking pass.

When can I buy my CV pass?
CV passes will be available during the Main Sale (date listed on the Ticket Page). If space remains, additional passes may be released during the OMG Sale in May. You can also purchase a pass for use in your theme camp through Directed Group Sale ticket codes or through Ticket Exchange.
