Apply for a Subsidized Ticket

The Subsidized Ticket Program aims to promote inclusivity and ensure everyone, regardless of financial situation, can participate at SOAK. We have made some changes to the program this year in an effort to keep delivering on our mission and ensure tickets are reaching the intended population. Below you will find details on eligibility criteria, award process, and program timeline.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a Subsidized ticket, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Not be otherwise eligible for a free or gift ticket; AND

  2. Demonstrate financial need by providing a copy of either (1) Medicaid card of benefit letter (such as OHP or Apple Health), OR (2) SNAP benefit card (such as Oregon Trail Card, Washington State Quest Card, etc.). 

The name on the document provided must match the name on your application. If due to extenuating circumstances you are unable to provide one of the above documents, but believe you should still be eligible for a Subsidized ticket, please reach out to radicalinclusion@soakpdx.com and include details on your situation. We may request additional supporting documentation if needed. All documentation will be deleted once eligibility is confirmed.

Selection Process & Important Details

Tickets will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until all available tickets have been claimed. We will notify recipients on a rolling basis as applications are received.

Tickets are offered at $118 (50% of a full price ticket). Carpooling is strongly encouraged, but a parking pass will be available for purchase with the ticket. Subsidized Tickets are non-transferable and not eligible for re-sale. If you purchase your ticket and cannot attend, you are eligible for a full-refund.

Important 2026 Dates

  • Application Form Opens: March 18 at 6pm PDT

  • Application Closes: Once all tickets are claimed

  • Notifications to Applicants: Rolling basis as applications are reviewed 

  • Deadline to Purchase Ticket: April 18
