The Radical Inclusion Ticket Program aims to create new pathways for underrepresented communities to participate at SOAK. Now in its third year, we have made some changes to the program in an effort to keep delivering on this mission and ensure tickets are reaching the most underrepresented and marginalized groups in our community. Below you will find details on eligibility criteria, selection process, and program timeline. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a Radical Inclusion ticket, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Belong to an underrepresented community at SOAK;  

  2. Live in the Pacific Northwest (defined as living in the states of OR, WA, or ID);

  3. Have either (1) never attended SOAK before, OR (2) have not attended in the last 5 years; AND

  4. Have not received a volunteer DGS or gift ticket OR a ticket through the Subsidized Ticket Program for SOAK 2026. 

In our determination of which communities qualify as underrepresented at SOAK, we consider the SOAK 2025 Census data and how different identities experience marginalization and barriers to access. If you are not sure whether you qualify, please fill out the Application for review.

Selection Process & Important Details

There are a limited number of tickets, so likely not everyone who applies will receive one. All applications are treated as confidential. Selection will be made through a random lottery among eligible applicants, with consideration given to representation data and equity goals. 

Those selected for a Radical Inclusion ticket receive only 1 ticket. Tickets are offered on a sliding scale ($15 to $236). Carpooling is strongly encouraged, but a parking pass will be available for purchase with the ticket. Radical Inclusion tickets are non-transferrable and not eligible for re-sale. If you purchase your ticket and cannot attend, you are eligible for a full-refund.

Important 2026 Dates

  • Application Form Opens: March 18 at 6pm PDT

  • Deadline to Apply: March 25 at 6pm PDT

  • Notifications to Applicants: By March 27 at 6pm (all applicants will be notified of outcome, whether or not selected)

  • Deadline to Purchase Ticket: April 18
