A Closing Note from the Producers:

SOAK isn't just a weekend event. It's a community.
A stage is made to provide space for all of us to share and receive our gifts, our art, our joy, and love. It's in this relationship of offering and receiving that we co-create SOAK together. All the planning (and spreadsheets and many forms) will never fully predict what will happen when the curtain is pulled back. So it's in the unpredictability and impermanence of it all that we engage so fully, together.

So first of all, thank you to every human who arrived at SOAK, we appreciate you being part of the community.
Thank you to the volunteers who contributed the gift of time to make the magic happen.
Thank you to the theme camps for building a city with offerings of play, music, art, self-care, and so much food!
Thank you to the artists for sharing your craft and vision with us.
Thank you to the people who came for the experience, we make this for happen for all of us, to find our way to a new home.
Special thank you to those on the leadership team, seven months of meetings, planning, building, training, and creating.

Our best laid plans don't always turn out as intended and as the fatigue and stress from not burning subside, we are left with lessons. An important lesson for us is that it's actually in our principles that we can find hope. We practiced immediacy, in those tough moments we tapped into the reality of those around us, participation with the local community, and contact with the natural world exceeding human powers. We displayed the significance of civic responsibility and communal effort. Sometimes, in our hardest moments come the greatest gifts and this year we have seen the gift of the principles in which we practice spring into life. We are not only proud of SOAK*2025 Strange Magic, we are excited that we have found new ideas for the future.
