Pathlighters Seeking 3d Artists!
Hey Burners!
Pathlighters is thrilled to announce the launch of our Artistic Lantern Grant Program! We’re inviting creative minds to collaborate with us by designing and creating 3D-printed or otherwise crafted durable and translucent casings for the lanterns we deploy at Soak.
Here’s How It Works:
Design the Lantern Casings
Create a 3D-printed (or otherwise crafted) durable and translucent casing that features a cylindrical cavity at least 3.25 inches in diameter and a length of at least 14 inches long for the lantern to slide in and out easily.
Need a model? We can provide a lantern for you to borrow during the design process.
The Pathlighters team will not be providing access to 3D printing for this project.
Deliver Your Casings
Once the casing is completed, hand off your casings to a Pathlighters lead.
These casings become property of PRECIPITATION NORTHWEST and will be used at future events!
Get Reimbursed
Pathlighters leadership will reimburse artists whose lantern designs are chosen for materials costs up to $100!

You can submit a finished 3D file, but it’s not required—a sketch or rough idea works just fine.
Important Dates:
Applications close on February 22nd.
After the deadline, the Pathlighter Leadership Team will review submissions, and inform applicants and grant recipients.
